Chevrolet Sequel

Chevrolet Sequel Sequel was introduced in 2005 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It is the first vehicle in the world to successfully integrate a hydrogen fuel cell propulsion system with a broad menu of advanced technologies such as steer-and brake-by-wire controls, wheel hub motors, lithium-ion batteries and a lightweight aluminum structure. Between the fuel cell power module (73kW), battery pack (65kW), front electric motor (65kW) and two in-wheel motors at the rear (25kW apiece), the Sequel can muster combined bursts of up to 200bhp for standing starts and overtaking manoeuvres. Do this too often and the lithium-ion battery pack will eventually fall below the permitted charge levels, halving the available power. it airbags to the Sequel and, theoretically at least, you could sell it as is. The car's 8kg hydrogen storage capacity equips it with a range of 300 miles, it passes all the company's standard crash safety, endurance and extreme-weather tests, and plans are in motion to have 220 hydrogen gas stations up and running in California by 2010. Compared to other fuel cell vehicles, Sequel has an unprecedented range of 300 miles between fill-ups and spirited acceleration, attaining 60 mph in just 10 seconds. Sequel also has all the amenities one would expect in a premium, five-passenger crossover SUV, including impressive styling, a spacious interior and an all-aluminum body and structure designed to meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
