Honda FCX

Honda FCX The FCX Concept is equipped with a V Flow fuel cell platform consisting of a compact, high-efficiency fuel cell stack arranged in an innovative center-tunnel layout. This has allowed designers to create an elegant, low-riding, sedan form that would have been difficult to achieve in a conventional fuel cell vehicle. Designed in-house in Japan, it has a style that's going to attract every minor politician, celeb, environmental campaigner and anyone else wanting to look and do good at the same time. Inside there's sprawling space for four six-footers and there's even a reasonable sized boot. As an auxiliary power source, the FCX Concept carries a compact, high-efficiency lithium ion battery, contributing to increased power output and a more compact power plant. These efficiency improvements to major power plant components give the vehicle a travel range approximately 30 percent greater than the current FCX. Like all cars powered by electricity, the FCX doesn't need to wait for the right revs to appear on the dial before it gives its best performance - it's all there, all the time, whenever you want it and for a price no bigger than the flex of a foot. It glides forward in near silence as you look out across the vast plain that is the top of the dashboard to that far away windscreen. The deluxe cabin is outfitted with a mix of traditional Japanese materials--such as a wood floor--plus the latest gizmos. The dashboard rises up (toward the driver) as speed rises, supposedly to hold the driver's attention, which leads us to wonder if the steering wheel is right in front of your nose once you reach triple digits.
